This CO₂ based high temperature pump provides heating and cooling without the need for combustion or the burning of fossil fuels, reducing energy consumption by up to 75%. It can replace water heaters, steam boilers, chillers and cooling towers. Likido units will most commonly be installed in a Class III location – machinery room or open air.
All Likido®ONE heat pumps use carbon dioxide as the refrigerant fluid in a closed system. The heating and cooling loads are connected via secondary heat transfer fluids, usually water or glycol.
There is no limit on the refrigerant charge unless the unit is installed below ground level or in an upper floor with no emergency exits, in which case further reference should be made to BS EN 378-1.

Energy Efficiency
With Likido®ONE just 1kW of electric energy produces 4.5kW of heating energy plus extracts 3.5kW of cooling energy for a suitable "source" giving a COP of 1:8 for most applications.Meaning that 1 kW of electrical energy produces 8 kW of thermal energy.
